“Our students study a range of tools and technologies in their degree programme – currently they begin with Adobe Flash to create a basic game from scratch for the web. They then progress to using an industry standard engine in the 2nd year to create a 3D game (currently Unreal or Source). In the final year the students create a game from scratch in development teams, as they would in industry. We use XNA to allow students to develop a cross platform game easily but we also offer them the chance to work on PSP development kits, PS2 and PS3 Linux kits and iPhone/iPod Touch development kits.””

On joining TIGA Flynn adds: “We support TIGA’s efforts in bring academia and industry together through the ‘Education Exchange’ initiative. We hope to forge even stronger links with industry to ensure our students have the best possible chance of enjoying a successful career after they graduate.””

Richard Wilson TIGA CEO stated: “We encourage our members to reach out to those universities, like Greenwich, who have joined TIGA, and to contribute their knowledge and expertise to the degree process. By working together we can ensure UK industry has access to highly skilled quality graduates.””
