TIGA welcomes The Trailerfarm as its latest member

By October 9, 2012 Press Releases

TIGA,the trade association representing the UK games industry, has welcomed The
Trailerfarm as its latest member.

The
company is a creative agency specialising in trailers, promos, featurettes and
'making of' documentaries, specifically aimed at the games industry. Although
the team works primarily with video, its key staff has a rich history in game
development which, says co-founder Tony Porter, allows it to sync with
development and branding teams in a seamless manner.

The
Trailerfarm was formed in 2011 by Tony and his brother Daniel Porter with the
sole aim of providing a game trailer and promo service. It
has gone from strength to strength with recent clients including Codemasters,
Mindcandy, Disney Interactive, Natural Motion and Microsoft. Among
the games it has worked with is Dirt Showdown for Codemasters. It included the
global TV spot campaign, as well as all of the featurettes and shorts
associated with the launch campaign. It
is also currently working very closely with Mindcandy on various projects
across the board and it has worked with Microsoft for the launch of Windows 8
and Windows 8 apps.

The
company is also looking to expand with sister firm The Trailerfarm Mobile coming
soon, offering its services to lower budget independent, iOS and Android
developers. It has also recently acquired a branding team as well as a full HD
production facility, which will enable them to provide a service that extends way
beyond the trailers and promos themselves, as well as bring online a live
action filming element to the trailers it produces overall.

Tony
Porter, co-founder of The Trailerfarm, said:  “We
are really looking forward to getting involved with the wider industry and
enjoying all the support and networking opportunities that TIGA offers. As a
service provider to the games industry, the more connections we establish the
better for us and for our clients across the board. We are extremely proud to
be part of the organisation and we are sure we will continue to be so for many
years to come.”

Dr
Richard Wilson, CEO of TIGA, said:
 “The
Trailerfarm is an example of the diversity of skill needed within the videogame
sector at the moment. Marketing and promotion is an important part of game
making and we are sure that many of members will be interested in the work of The
Trailerfarm and its very talented staff.”
