TIGA welcomes Skindler as its latest member

By April 22, 2015 Press Releases

TIGA, the network for game developers and digital publishers, and trade association representing the UK videogame industry, has welcomed Skindler, an online HR platform that connects games professionals and games businesses, as its latest member.

Skindler was created to address the difficulties of outsourcing and hiring freelancers in the videogame industry. There is an inherent risk in hiring freelancers without a verified appraisal of their reliability or capabilities, as is the case with many current services on the market.

Skindler seeks to fix these potential issues as the platform only lists games professionals who have passed a thorough vetting process, and have been verified as both reliable and competent. In particular, the platform is designed to make the hiring of offshore staff as easy and transparent as possible.

Attend the launch

To celebrate the launch of the service in May 2015, Skindler is hosting a party in London on May 12th, and invites fellow TIGA members and friends from the UK videogame community to join them.

Join the platform

Skindler is currently looking for talented professionals to join the platform’s rapidly expanding roster of world-class service providers. Because of Skindler’s focus on listing only the best and most reliable professionals – and only enough to meet demand – providers can focus on delivering their best work, rather than constantly searching for jobs.

If this sounds of interest, please don’t hesitate, apply via: www.skindler.com/providers – and they will take care of the rest.

Dr Richard Wilson, CEO, TIGA, said:

“TIGA’s focus is on strengthening the videogame industry, so anything that makes life easier for games businesses, developers, digital publishers, and the many other highly skilled professionals that make up our sector, is more than welcome.

“Given the increasingly global nature of the hunt for world-class talent, Skindler sounds like a fascinating and innovative solution. I look forward to working with them further, and finding out what our members think of the platform, and how it has helped them.”

Ida Honkanen, Community Manager, Skindler, added:

“Employment culture is developing at a rapid pace, becoming far more liberal, creative and offshore focused. Outsourcing in the videogame industry is also still

“We are joining TIGA to help promote reliable and high quality videogame outsourcing exclusively for videogame businesses, and increase the employment opportunities available to UK freelance talent. At Skindler we hope to be a part of a transformation of employment culture that benefits businesses, employees and our fellow TIGA members alike.”
