TIGA, the trade association
representing the UK games industry, today announced Channel 4 as their
newest member.

The
membership reiterates Channel 4’s move to work alongside, support and help grow
the burgeoning games development community in the UK.

Channel 4 is keen not only to bring
commissioning opportunities to the industry, but also to shine a light on the
unique talent in the country.

“I’ve worked with Richard and the rest of the
team at TIGA for a number of years now,” says Colin Macdonald, Commissioning
Editor for Games at Channel 4, “and have the utmost respect for what they do,
not only for the UK games community but also for the industry at large, so it is
appropriate that Channel 4 supports TIGA’s efforts. Our
membership will help combine the reach of Channel 4 as a national broadcaster
with the cream of the UK’s game development talent.”

TIGA CEO Dr Richard
Wilson, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Channel 4 as the newest
members of TIGA. Their membership and place within gaming industry will ensure
