The Government launches application process for 2,500 new places on artificial intelligence and data science conversion courses

On 9 June 2020, the Government launched an application process to the world’s first artificial intelligence and data science conversion courses. Up to £24 million of funding will be made available from Government, universities, and industry to help encourage new and diverse talent into tech roles.

As part of this, 2500 places are to become available, with 1,000 scholarships made available to people from underrepresented backgrounds. Funding has been awarded to 18 universities who are working with partner providers to deliver courses in 28 universities and colleges across England.

Applications can be made here, for places on new artificial intelligence (AI) and data science masters courses starting in Autumn 2020.
