The Prime Minister has announced further changes to lockdown restrictions. The changes apply to England only and will come into place from Saturday 4 July 2020. Key changes include:
- The two metre rule will be relaxed to ‘one metre plus’ where two metres is not possible.
- Pubs, restaurants and hairdressers will be able to reopen, providing they adhere to COVID Secure guidelines.
- Two households will be able to meet up in any setting with social distancing measures.
The Prime Minister said that the Government will keep all measures under review and may reverse these relaxations should the virus begin to run out of control again. The Government press release can be viewed here.
