Digital Media Kingston is an interdisciplinary micro-studio at Kingston University that offers a unique post graduate programme developed in consultation with SCEE, Samsung & Dreamworks. New for 2014 is a January start date for MA Game Development (Design) and MSc Game Development, MA Computer Animation; (Programming) and MSc User Experience Designhttp://www.kingston.ac.uk/courses/find-a-course/postgraduate/subject-areas/49-digital-media/  This course requires only approx one day a week on site for Full Time mode , with the option of embedding your commercial projects into the programme.

You can also study in ‘short course’ mode and undertake specialist study such as :

  • Unity
  • Nuke
  • Games Design
  • Digital Studio Practice
  • Creation & Animation
  • User Experience Design (Media)

All our work is informed by our research, for example, Kingston is home to one of the largest computer vision research clusters in Europe. DMK students also work under NDAs on commercial R&D projects from partners such as Sony Worldwide 3D, and DMK also supports funded research projects such as “Methodologies For Biofeedback Data in Immersive UX” supported by London Fusion, and developed in collaboration with Seren Experience Labs http://www.seren.com/seren-experience-labs/, this work explores the relationships between key Biometric indicators and user experience factors in gaming, such as attention levels in relation to predicting player engagement/immersion to validate game design elements.
