European Commission invites UK games educators to join Virtual Worlds discussion

The European Commission has invited UK games educators to an online meeting on the future Partnership on Virtual Worlds (see Commission proposals for new candidate European Partnerships are now public – European Commission (europa.eu).

This meeting comes half a year after the adoption of a new strategy on Web 4.0 and Virtual Worlds by the European Commission and in the process of implementation of its actions.

It is an opportunity to take stock of progress and look forward, reflecting on our objectives for the XR and Virtual Worlds in Europe beyond 2024.

The main focus of this meeting will be one of the actions of this initiative, the Partnership on Virtual Worlds. The agenda will include a presentation delivered by the EC on the Partnership, followed by open discussions with you.

The Partnership on Virtual Worlds will be open to all European stakeholders involved in the Virtual Worlds domain.

Researchers will have to play a crucial role in it and we would like to involve you all as soon as possible in the process.

The meeting will take place Wednesday the 27th of March, 9:30h -11:30h CEST online.
