MPs have launched an inquiry into ‘Broadband and the road to 5G’, to examine the Government’s pledge to ensure every home and business in the UK has gigabit-capable broadband by 2025.
The inquiry will focus on how realistic the broadband ambition is, what is needed to achieve it, what the Government’s target will mean for businesses and consumers, and the role that 5G technology can potentially play in the UK.
The inquiry is currently accepting evidence and welcomes submissions from anyone with answers to the questions in the call for evidence. The deadline for submissions is Thursday 2 April 2020.
