Award winning Sumo Digital take their turn giving out the prizes as they sponsor the 2015 TIGA Awards

By November 3, 2015 Press Releases

Recipients of many awards themselves, including accolades from DICE, Gamescom and BAFTA, Sumo Digital were on the receiving end of TIGA awards in both 2013 and 2014.  This year they are supporting TIGA to help deliver awards to fellow developers and ensure the continued recognition of good practice across the industry.

TIGA, the trade association representing the video games industry, is holding its SOLD OUT, 4th annual awards event at LSO St Luke’s (home of London’s Symphony Orchestra) in Old Street, London on 12th November.

Sumo Digital started with a company of just 12 people and have grown to over 220 in Sheffield and a further 50 in a dedicated art studio in Pune, India.  Sumo has carved a unique position for itself within the UK games industry with a reputation for versatility, reliability, creativity and technological achievement that sees returning business from some of the biggest names in games publishing; BBC, Disney, Konami, Microsoft, SEGA and Sony.

With recent releases including Forza Horizon 2 (Xbox360) and the award winning LittleBigPlanet 3, as well as past success with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and the BAFTA winning Doctor Who Adventures, Sumo Digital is responsible for some of the most powerful gaming franchises in the world.

TIGA CEO, Dr Richard Wilson, said, “TIGA are delighted to welcome Sumo Digital as sponsors for this year’s awards.  Their company trajectory means they have an understanding of the industry at all levels and know what it takes to deliver an award winning service.”

Sumo Digital CEO, Carl Cavers, said “Sumo are proud to be able to support the TIGA awards, an evening to celebrate the success of the industry and those that are an active part of it. TIGA’s active campaigning is helping to ensure that both the value and creative innovation delivered by studios throughout the UK is recognized”.
