On Wednesday 8 April 2020, Dr Richard Wilson, CEO of TIGA, spoke to Alexander Martin at Sky about the impact of coronavirus on the video games industry.

The article discusses the significant challenges that the coronavirus outbreak is bringing to the video games industry, despite the potential for more game players. Dr Wilson discussed the difficulty for small and medium sized games companies to access government support schemes, to cover their employment costs, and to access finance. He also stressed the need to maintain Video Games Tax Relief payments, and perhaps introduce a Video Games Investment Fund, which would provide pound for pound matched funding up to £500,000 for original game projects.
