TIGA swoops to win top award for Public Affairs

TIGA, the tradeassociation representing the UK video games industry, has won a prestigious
award for its battle to secure the introduction of Games Tax Relief. 

TIGA won
the In-House Public Affairs Award 2012 in the annual PRCA Awards, seeing off
competition from the Airport Operators Association and Queen’s University
Belfast.More than 60 judges were involved in the
short-listing process. The winners were announced at an Award ceremony that was
held last night in central London.

Dr Richard Wilson,
CEO of TIGA, said:   
“To win ‘Public Affairs Award 2012’ from the PRCA in
recognition of our campaign for Games Tax Relief is fantastic news. It is a
great tribute to be recognised by our peers in the PR and Public Affairs arena
that TIGA conceived and executed a first class campaign for our members and for
the wider industry. I’d like to thank my team, TIGA’s members and those
politicians who supported our campaign and enabled TIGA to secure Games Tax
Relief. TIGA will continue to strive to strengthen the UK games industry and to
