By May 9, 2013 TIGA News

The bill will see the first £2,000 of national insurance
contributions for employers waived.

It would, if passed, come into effect in April 2014.

The bill aims to reduce the
cost to small businesses of employing people.

It was initially announced by Chancellor
George Osborne in the Budget 2013 and it is suggested that 450,000 small
organisations will benefit.

The bill will also take steps towards
stopping the use of offshore companies that are sometimes used by companies to
avoid paying their National Insurance contributions.

It will remove the presumption of
self-employment for limited liability partnership members and it will apply to
the whole of the UK
