TIGA congratulates the winners and nominees of the Develop Star Awards 2019

TIGA, the network for video games developers and digital publishers and the trade association representing the video games industry, extends congratulations to the winners and nominees of last night’s Develop Star Awards.

The spread of winners showcased the immense talent, creativity and experience that exists within the UK games industry, as well as globally.

Dr Richard Wilson OBE, TIGA CEO, said:

“TIGA would like to congratulate all of the nominees and winners of the Develop Star Awards 2019. Winners from the UK included celebrated indie studios like Weather Factory and Ghost Town Games, established institutions like Jagex, Curve, Sumo Digital and Playground Games, and service providers such as Amiqus. Congratulations also to BAME in Games’ Kish Hirani, winner of the Diversity Star accolade and to the winner of the overall Develop Star Award, Hello Games co-founder and managing director Sean Murray.”

Best Visual Art: Forza Horizon 4 – Playground Games/Xbox Game Studios.
Best Narrative: Detroit: Become Human – Quantic Dream/Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Best Games Design: Cultist Simulator – Weather Factory.
Best Audio: Tetris Effect – Monstars & Resonair/Enhance.
Best Original IP: Two Point Hospital – Two Point Studios/Sega.
Best Innovation:
Cultist Simulator – Weather Factory.
Diversity Star: Kish Hirani – BAME in Games.
Best Supplier: Amazon Game Tech.
Recruitment Star: Amiqus.
Best Use of an Engine: Forza Horizon 4 – Playground Games/Xbox Game Studios.
Publishing Star: Curve Digital.
Best Mobile Game: Old School RuneScape Mobile – Jagex.
Game of the Year: Overcooked! 2 – Ghost Town Games/Team17.
Best Micro Studio: Weather Factory.
Best Studio: Sumo Digital.
The Develop Star Award: Sean Murray/Hello Games.
