By January 22, 2020 Press Releases

On Wednesday 22 January 2020, the Information Commissioner’s Office published its Age Appropriate Design Code.

The Government has included provisions in the Data Protection Act 2018 to create world-leading standards that provide proper safeguards for children when they are online. As a result, the ICO has produced an Age Appropriate Design Code of practice to give guidance to organisations about the privacy standards they should adopt when offering online services and apps that children are likely to access.

The ICO’s Age Appropriate Design Code can be found here.
