By August 12, 2020 Press Releases

On 11 August 2020, the Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson, announced a ‘Triple Lock’ process to provide security to young people receiving their grades this year.

As part of this process, students could accept their calculated grade, appeal to receive a valid mock result, or sit autumn exams. This system is designed to ensure the achievements of young people are recognised.

All outcomes will hold the same value for universities, colleges and employers. Similar arrangements will apply to vocational and technical qualifications.
