Survey for High Speed Rail Scotland Business Case

By September 1, 2011 TIGA News

The High Speed Rail Scottish Partnership is promoting a high-speed rail network for the UK including Edinburgh and Glasgow. This Partnership includes the Scottish Government, business representatives, the cities, local authorities and trades unions. It is working together to produce a business case to present to the UK Government.

In order to gather evidence which demonstrates the benefits of a full network to the economy, we are contacting businesses and I attach a short survey, with background. We would be very grateful if you could complete those questions which are relevant to your business or, alternatively, provide a statement of your support for this project.

In addition to the benefits to businesses in Scotland, we are gathering evidence on the benefits of including Edinburgh and Glasgow for businesses in northern England, the Midlands, and London/ South-East England. Any evidence which you can offer – from your own operations, clients, customers, contacts etc – would be helpful.
