At Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton the Games Design & Art BA run a weekly series of talks from guests from across the games industries. We have had artists and designers talk from studios such as ustwo games, Moving Brands (Gobi) and Mangahigh along with a number of individual game makers. We are always keen for a wide variety of people to speak on subjects in particular that speak to the diversity in game making, followed by discussion in our studios with the students. We are currently looking in particular for someone to speak on starting your own indie game company, methods around indie game funding and some best practice from experience. This would work best on Oct 17th (talk time is 12-13:00 followed by studio discussion 14:00-16:00).
