On Tuesday 13 April, 10.00am – 11.30am, TIGA and the Information Commissioner’s Office will host a remote interactive workshop exploring approaches for managing risks associated with using children’s data in the gaming sector.
The event will support attendees to understand their risk management obligations under the ICO Children’s Code – a new statutory code of practice supporting organisations to put the best interests of child users at the heart of their online services.
During this workshop participants will:
- Be introduced to the Children’s Code and its recommendations for managing risks
- Work through the ICO Children’s Code Harms Framework, to identify data-enabled risks to children associated with their service
- Discuss approaches for mitigating common risks associated with the gaming sector’s use of children’s data, in collaboration with gaming sector peers and ICO specialists.
