Revolution Software joins TIGA

By November 1, 2011 Press Releases

TIGA, the trade association
representing the UK games industry, today announced Revolution Software as their newest member. Revolution
Software Ltd has been developing critically acclaimed adventure
games since 1990, including Lure of the
Temptress, Beneath a Steel Sky,
and the famous Broken Sword
series.

In 2006, Charles Cecil was
awarded the status of ‘industry legend’ by Develop magazine. In 2011 Charles
was appointed a Member of the Order of the British
Empire (MBE) in the 2011 Birthday Honours for services to the
computer games industry.

Charles Cecil, MBE, explains the
reason why Revolution Software decided to join TIGA:

“UK developers need a trade association
to champion their interests in political circles and to support their move into
self-publishing. TIGA campaigns vigorously on behalf of its members and it is
developing a range of services to support the industry. Revolution Software is
pleased to be a member of TIGA.

Dr. Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO
welcomed the organisation to TIGA:

“Over the years many developers have been inspired by the games created by
Charles Cecil’s Revolution Software. We are proud to welcome Revolution
Software as a TIGA member and we look forward to working with the company to
help make the UK the best place in the world to do games business.”
