After recently joining Tiga as a member, AAA games art specialist, Airship Interactive, announce that they are further strengthening their position as one of the gaming industry’s most influential and renowned art outsource studios with a string of key strategic hires and wider company initiatives.
18/05/22 – Having seen the demand for collaboration soar organically over the past couple of years, Airship has now turned up the heat on their expansion plans. Phase one sees a flurry of key strategic hires that will allow the company to drive profitable growth, add and diversify service lines, create & own IP, expand studio footprint globally, secure studio acquisitions, and generally be a force for good in the sector (& the world).
Bolstering the C-suite is growth specialist and games industry consultant, Tim Horton, who joins Airship as the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Tim is an experienced multimedia industry consultant and C-level executive with 14 years’ working in commercial growth strategy, partnership, operations, and investment procurement. He comes with extensive experience supporting and delivering the development and evolution of SME’s and established companies across tech, gaming and other sectors.
Tim said: “This truly is a very exciting time for Airship Interactive. The growth of the service delivery and studio portfolio over the past 12 months has been exceptional and exponential. My role will be to play an integral part in furthering as well as safeguarding that growth.”
Second of two new senior hires is, business evolution specialist, & Women in Games Ambassador, Viki Freeman, who joins as Workplace Strategy Director.
Having spent over 15 years consulting businesses on areas such as talent, transformation, and growth – Viki joins Airship to support, plan and execute business strategies in line with Airships objectives and ambitions, including Learning and Development, Talent, HR, Business Development M&A and Growth Planning.
Viki said: “I am delighted to be part of this incredible team. Airship is leading the way in games service delivery; they are truly at the forefront. I am thrilled to be supporting the next evolutionary step in their history.”
Heading up the Business team is Callum Walker who joins Airship as the new Business Development Manager.
Callum is joining the sales team from the Automotive sector where he reached Director level specialising in pitching and new sales growth. Callum brings exceptional skill and knowledge to the company as well as his mighty extra-curricular renown.
Callum said “I am so excited to be part of the Airship journey and bring my experience of sales from outside the industry to Airship to play a part in the incredible story and growth Airship is experiencing”
On the production side we also see a wave of incredible talents being onboarded. Talents from Sony PlayStation, Playground Games Jagex, Pixion Games, Hidden Creative to name but a few, who all come with incredible portfolios, passion for games and the want to support the biggest and best in the games sector.
