TIGA, the network for video games developers and digital publishers and the trade association representing the games industry, has today announced that they have partnered with Amazon Appstore to create a brand new category for the fifth TIGA Games Industry Awards:
Amazon Appstore promise to support all finalists with the promise that those entrants who are successfully shortlisted for the Best Game On The Amazon Appstore will be given extra marketing (featuring) support by Amazon Appstore in and outside of UK, be a guest blogger on the Amazon Appstore and potentially be invited to be a guest speaker at Amazon Appstore events.
The category which is new for 2016 will see judges looking for :
- Creative, innovative and engaging games published or submitted to the Amazon Appstore
- Strong visual design
- Strong sound design
- Strong game design
All games shortlisted in this category must be featured on the Amazon Appstore. Those who would like to have their game featured on the Amazon Appstore should visit
Amazon Appstore, who are a Platinum sponsor of the TIGA Games Industry Awards, also pledge to support entrants of the TIGA Games Industry Awards (regardless of category) by publishing every shortlisted games entry on their store, after the shortlist announcement in September 2016.*
Shortlisted winners will be contacted by TIGA after the announcement and sent information on how to do this.

The TIGA Games Industry Awards feature 36 categories and are completely FREE to enter. Games categories are open to everybody, Business of Games categories are open to TIGA Members only. The 2016 categories are:
