Meet the TIGA Awards 2022 Sponsors: Outplay

By August 22, 2022 No Comments

The TIGA Awards – which celebrate game developers, educators, technology and service providers – couldn’t take place without the generous support of our sponsors.

This year’s event takes place on Thursday November 10th at the prestigious Church House Westminster, providing an evening of celebration.

In this series of articles, we throw the spotlight on our supporters, showcasing their work and their thoughts on sponsoring the TIGA Awards 2022. Here’s Outplay

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Dundee, Outplay Entertainment is the UK’s largest independent mobile developer. Our games have been downloaded more than 160 million times, with multiple selections as Apple’s Editors’ Choice.

Recognised as one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the UK, we’ve worked with several third-party IPs, including Gordon Ramsay, Agatha Christie’s Poirot and Angry Birds. We’ve also received multiple BAFTA nominations and, in 2021, a Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards nomination for Best Developer, alongside proudly supporting several industry initiatives, including Code Coven, Into Games, Women in Games and the TIGA University Accreditation System.

Our portfolio of games includes Gordon Ramsay’s Chef Blast and Mystery Match Village, alongside Facebook Instant Games titles such as Solitaire Together and Words Together. Gordon Ramsay’s Chef Blast, which has achieved more than 3.5 million downloads to date, was shortlisted for Best Casual Game at the 2021 TIGA Games Industry Awards, while Mystery Match Village, with more than 600,000 downloads, was also nominated in the Diversity category, in recognition of the multicultural world in which players can immerse themselves.

We make a conscious effort to ensure our games reflect the vibrant and diverse nature of our studio, made up of more than 20 nationalities, and are proud to sponsor this year’s TIGA Games Industry Awards as part of our ongoing commitment to the inclusion and recognition of under-represented groups both in and outside of the games industry.

With an exciting pipeline of future titles in development, Outplay is just getting started.

Our thanks to Outplay – and a reminder to all that tickets and tables are now on sale for the Awards. Click here to book yours now as they are limited
