By August 2, 2011 Press Releases

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced that MBXGames Ltd have become their newest members.

MBXGames Ltd is a small development company who love pushing technical boundaries. They work with many media agencies developing mobile (iOS/Android) and web “advergames”” for their clients.

MBXGames Ltd have all the skills in-house to produce a game from initial concept, through design and build to the launch and subsequent promotional campaign. The two directors Mike Barrow and Mal Bailey met while working at a leading advertising agency, and after a brief period of working freelance they set up MBXGames Ltd in 2008, working with flash games for their network of high profile clients. Since then they have branched out into the mobile space. All work is managed in-house rather than outsourced like many agencies.

MBXGames Ltd have an outstanding understanding of marketing for a games company. They realise the importance of metrics, brand message and integration with the rest of a campaign. They have also developed their own IP product Ultrakillz that was the first, and to date only 3d multiplayer first person shooter game in flash. The games they develop for clients regularly exceed 100,000 users a day per game.

Last month they launched UEFA.com’s flagship game http://freekick.uefa.com
This is a 3d Multiplayer web based game that is attracting over half a million players a week.

Malcolm Bailey, Director of MBXGames Ltd said:

“Having grown up and played games for over 30 years, I’ve always been aware that the UK is at the forefront of innovation and creativity. Now I’m part of that industry I want to be able to help shape the direction and foster the new upcoming talent. The best way I can see to do that, is by being a member of the leading trade organisation, in this case TIGA”

Dr Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO, said:
