TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced FXpansion as its newest member.
FXpansion has been one of the industry’s leading independent music software developers since it was founded in 1999. With its headquarters in London and a worldwide team of creative engineers and passionate musicians, the company has established a growing range of plug-ins and applications which have won numerous press awards.
FXpansion’s products combine innovative user interface concepts and cutting-edge sound quality to deliver endless musical possibilities. The fresh ideas and forward-thinking technology which epitomises the ethos of the company has seen FXpansion establish a large and devoted userbase which includes big name bands and DJs.
Among their headline products is BFD2.
Released in 2007, as a follow up to the hugely successful BFD, the drum production software boasts even more features and flexibility, including an ever-increasing range of expansion packs, which enables musicians and composers to harness technology for artistic expression.
In 2009 FXpansion released the groundbreaking DCAM: Synth Squad, which comprises three individual but internally linked synthesiser modules. In development for 6 years, each module has its own style, equipping the user with the tools to create keyboard sounds from any era.

TIGA will continue to argue for improvements to the R&D tax credits to promote investment in R&D in the UK
