Tandem Events have announced this year’s finalists for the Develop:Brighton Indie Showcase, which each year shines a spotlight on the industry’s best unsigned indie games.
This year’s Indie Showcase finalists are:
- Bioframe Outpost by Omni Systems (PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox Series S/X, Switch)
- Dayjob Daydreams by Canteen (PC)
- FACEMINER by Wristwork (PC, Steam Deck)
- Forager by PASSION Games & Crybaby Studio (PC)
- Frankenstein’s Monster by Tea Dunk Games (PC)
- Grow Wild by SPECTRUM48 (PC)
- Hungry Horrors by Clumsy Bear Studio (PC, Steam Deck)
- Mythmatch by Team Artichoke (PC)
- Robes & Wrinkles by Tombstone Studios (PC)
- The Void Between by Key Compass (PC, Steam)
The Indie Showcase gives the 10 finalists the chance to show their unpublished games to over 5,000 developers, publishers and media at the Develop:Brighton Expo.
One of the games will be judged overall Indie Showcase Winner by a judging panel made up of industry experts, and attendees can vote for their favourite game during the event in the People’s Choice Award.
Shaz Yosaf (Head Judge & Co Founder, Mind Feast Games) commented: “The assessment of any art is always subjective and one person or panel may have a completely different viewpoint from another. Making games is challenging and making something which feels fresh and original is even harder, but each game in our final top 10 resonated with different members of the panel.
“If you attend Develop, make sure to visit the Indie Showcase. You’ll experience a variety of different styles and genre of game. You’ll probably find something that surprises you and might even find a new game that you love.”
