Chunk Games joins TIGA

By September 12, 2011 Press Releases

TIGA, thetrade association representing the UK games industry, today announced Chunk as their newest member.

Chunk Games make casual games for
brands, entertainment IP, and for their own business with a mission to
make  ‘games that make you feel good’.
Chunk is well established in producing digital creative strategies and content –
many games based – so at the end of 2010 the Chunk Games division was created
to focus fully on the cultures and processes it takes to create great games.

This month Chunk Games is releasing a
mobile games suite for iPhone, iPad and Android to support Cadbury’s
sponsorship of the new ITV gameshow ‘Minute to Win It’. Like the games from the
show, the mobile games will be fun, physical and make you look a little bit
silly. In October 2011 the team will launch their first proper Chunk title,
‘Sticky Sheep’, which will be published by Chillingo.

Donnie Kerrigan, Managing Director of Chunk Games explains the reason
why he decided to join TIGA:

“As a new games company, formed from a
background in advertising rather than the games industry, we’re looking for an
organisation that can help us network, integrate and find opportunities in a
new community. With the new casual games division TIGA have recognised our
market and are perfectly placed to help us do that.”

Dr Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO welcomed the organisation to TIGA:

“Casual games are an important part of
the UK video games sector. TIGA has responded
to this development by creating a Casual Games Committee to advance
the interests and to promote commercial opportunities for casual game developers. The Casual Games Committee exists to help companies like
Chunk fulfil their potential and we are looking forward to working with Chunk in
the months and years ahead.”
