Call for evidence on Intra-Company Transfer immigration route

By April 27, 2021 Industry News

In September 2020, the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) was commissioned by the government to undertake a study of the Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) immigration route. The study aims to advise on the operation and effectiveness of the immigration route.

The ICT route currently sits alongside the Skilled Worker route for skilled workers. The route is designed to allow UK employers to move senior employees and specialists, who have been employed by the company for more than 12 months, from overseas offices to roles in the UK.

The MAC call for evidence on ICTs is seeking views and evidence from anyone with relevant knowledge, expertise or experience to help inform the MAC response. The MAC welcome views from all parts of the UK.

According to the MAC, the evidence provided will form a crucial part of the MAC’s response to the government.

The MAC has developed a questionnaire to cover the essentials for this call for evidence. They will , however, also welcome the upload of documents and evidence. These can be attached at the end of the questionnaire.

The deadline for submitting responses to the questionnaire is 15 June 2021.
