TIGA, the trade association representing the UK video games industry, has announced a new category for the TIGA Games Education Awards 2025 – Best Further Education College.
This new category has been introduced to celebrate the FE College which has demonstrated excellence in games education, and recognises the important contribution that Further Education institutions make in creating a pipeline of talent for the UK games industry.
As with the other categories, the TIGA Education Committee will determine the winner of this Award, and will make its decision based on evidence of an FE college that:
- demonstrates excellent progression rates, with a high proportion of its games students progressing to further study and / or employment in the games industry or industries using games related skills;
- has strong links with industry;
- low student attrition rates on its games courses;
- high qualification attainment rates on its games courses; and
- high levels of student satisfaction on its games courses.
This category is open to all FE colleges that are TIGA members.
The TIGA UK Games Education Awards are open to enter now, and will close on Monday June 2nd. These awards are unique, celebrating excellence in learners and graduates, teaching and research, colleges and universities. This year we have extended the awards to further recognise the teaching teams behind our outstanding educational institutions.
