Abertay University to Sponsor ‘Best Educational Institution’ at the TIGA Games Industry Awards 2015

TIGA, the network for games developers and digital publishers and the trade association representing the video games industry, said today that the best UK universities were building links with the industry, promoting the employability of their graduates and demonstrating innovation and excellence. TIGA made the comments following the news that ten UK universities had been shortlisted in the category of ‘Best Educational Institution’ for the TIGA Awards, which is being generously sponsored by Abertay University. 

 

 

TIGA promotes best practice and excellence in education. TIGA achieves this partly through the TIGA Games Industry Awards and partly through the TIGA University and College Accreditation system. The TIGA Accreditation system was set up in January 2015 in order to disseminate and to encourage best practice in  universities and colleges and to highlight good courses for students and employers. 14 university courses have successfully achieved TIGA Accreditation. The sold out TIGA Games Industry Awards Ceremony will be held on 12th November 2015 at Jerwood Hall, LSO St Luke’s, Old Street, London.
