New generation of “play for fun” and play for prizes gaming applications to be launched by Veros Digital on TVs, phones and tablets using the Antix Game Player
Veros Digital is producing its advanced entertainment content on the Antix Game Player and will utilize the full Antix Game Service and Store.
Veros is at the forefront of virtual sports gaming technologies, providing both play for fun and play for money solutions to a range of international business and consumer users including mobile networks, online and land based casinos, betting shops, hotels and cruise lines. The Antix Game Developer Kit enables developers to create or port their own C and C++ applications to run on the Antix platform. “Veros is running with the most advanced use cases ever deployed for gambling and play-for-fun applications across home, mobile and shop,” said Adam Prichard, Antix’ Business Development Director responsible for Content Acquisition.
According to Angus Wood, the Veros Digital CTO, “Veros uses Antix to build a single instance of our applications running at full tilt in native executable form to deliver best-in-class media across an extensive range of televisions, set-top boxes, phones and tablets. It doesn’t matter if the devices are architecturally completely different. The functionality provided to us by Antix is remarkable, enabling use cases that can’t be achieved with any alternative. While it is great for us as developers, the most important advantages are the enormous benefits to users.” Francis Charig who founded Antix in 2007, commented that “Veros products are transformational, increasing the media qualities in the gaming marketplace and making the applications truly ubiquitous across home and mobile devices. There’s a real symbiosis between Antix and Veros that means together we can offer absolute best-in-class services.” Jonathan Mills, Veros Digital’s CEO stated “I’m thrilled with the collaboration as Antix uniquely allows us to fulfil our commitment to deliver an experience that is differentiated and more fun for our customers. Its remarkable global distribution channels consolidate Antix as the best choice for accessing the TV and STB marketplace but it presents us with exciting opportunities for phone and tablets.”
