TIGA is delighted to welcome award-winning games industry legal services provider Eaton Smith as an Event Partner at the Start-Up, Scale-Up & Grow Conference, which takes place in London on April 30th.

The event will bring together a host of industry experts to equip studios with the essential information they need to navigate rising development costs, unprecedented competition and an uncertain investment landscape.

Start-up, Scale-up & Grow includes expert advice on how to: raise investment and claim the Video Games Expenditure Credit; lessons in leadership and management; advantages of outsourcing and coproduction; and best practice in game marketing and the opportunities of AI.

Eaton Smith has had a long association with the video games industry and has for many years acted for some of the world’s largest video games publishers and developers.

Sam Crich, Partner in the Commercial and Video Games team at Eaton Smith, will be delivering a talk at Start-up, Scale-Up & Grow about how whether, with our industry continuously adapting to new trends, and the challenges faced by traditional AAA studio models, does co-development represent the future of video game development? Join Sam as he explores some of the legal considerations of co-development and why it has become the go-to approach for smaller scale studios to level up their growth.

Crich said: “We are delighted to partner with TIGA for the Start-Up, Scale-Up & Grow Conference. As legal advisors to the video games industry, we understand the challenges that studios face, from securing funding and protecting intellectual property to navigating contracts and compliance. This event is a fantastic opportunity for developers to gain valuable insights and strategies to help their businesses thrive.”
