TIGA welcomes the Government’s £1.57 billion investment to protect Britain’s cultural, arts and heritage institutions

On 5 July 2020, the Government announced a £1.57 billion rescue package to help the arts, culture, and heritage industries weather the coronavirus storm.

As part of the package, emergency grants and loans will be provided to museums, galleries, theatres, independent cinemas, heritage sites and music venues. Funding will also be provided to restart construction work at cultural and heritage sites, that were paused as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
