TIGA, the trade association representing the UK video games industry, has been awarded accreditation against the Investors in People Standard, demonstrating the organisation’s commitment to realising the potential of their people.

TIGA’s core purpose is to strengthen the games development and digital publishing sector. We achieve this by campaigning for the industry in the corridors of power, championing the industry in the media and helping our members commercially.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Working with clients across the globe, Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said:

“We’d like to congratulate TIGA, Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, and an organisation committed to achieving success by realising the potential of their people. TIGA should be extremely proud of their achievement.”

Commenting on the award, Dr Richard Wilson OBE, TIGA CEO said:

“TIGA is focused on strengthening the UK video games development and digital publishing sector. Our success in achieving this objective depends to a crucial extent on the TIGA team.

“Achieving the Investors in People Standard for a fourth time is a major success for TIGA. At TIGA our aim is to be a high performance organisation – adopting best practice and exceeding standards – so that we can deliver a high quality service for our members.

“I would like to thank the TIGA team and the TIGA Board for their commitment, competence and professionalism in serving TIGA and the wider video games industry.”
