TIGA CEO Dr Richard Wilson recently had a very positive meeting with Saqib Bhatti MP, Shadow Minister, Culture, Media and Sport about the UK video games industry.
It was agreed that our sector has an important part to play in driving economic growth across the UK.
Saqib is the MP for Meriden & Solihull East and was previously the MP for Meriden. Prior to his political career, he was a chartered accountant and President of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce. He was previously the Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party for Business and a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in Parliament. Saqib was the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Tech and the Digital Economy, a position he held from November 2023 to July 2024.
