TIGA Board Member Awarded a Queen’s Honour

“An outstanding achievement for an outstanding individual in an outstanding industry” 

TIGA, the network for games developers and digital publishers and the trade association representing the video games industry, today congratulated Giselle StewartDirector, UK Corporate Affairs, Ubisoft and a TIGA Board member, on receiving a Queen’s Honour in the New Year’s Honours List. Giselle received an OBE (being made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in recognition of her service to the Computer Games Industry in the North East. “Giselle has worked in the video games industry for many years and has held senior roles at Ubisoft Reflections, including Studio Manager. Giselle has also played an important role at TIGA, serving as a Board member, as Chair of TIGA’s HR Committee, and working with me in engaging with Government and its agencies, including the Migration Advisory Service.

“Giselle has played a vital part in the education and skills world. She currently serves as Chair of Skillset’s Video Games Skills Council and she has been actively involved in the Next Generation Skills Academy where she has championed skills and workforce development in the video games industry.

“This is a well-deserved honour for Giselle and a reflection of the growing recognition of the importance of the UK video games industry.”
