The Government has announced a £200 million package to help innovative businesses bounce back

On Saturday 27 June 2020, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and Innovate UK launched the Sustainable Innovation Fund to help companies recovering from the impact of coronavirus.

The Sustainable Innovation Fund is open to companies across the UK who need urgent financial support to keep cutting-edge projects and ideas alive. This includes towards projects developing new technologies for medicine, energy efficiency and carbon reduction for public transport.

The funding will be delivered through Innovate UK and it forms part of a wider £750 million package of grants and loans announced in April to support innovative firms.
