The CMC is the UK’s premier gathering for the kids’ media and
entertainment industry. Last year it welcomed 575 delegates from
television, radio, film, games, interactive media, magazine and book
publishing, the licensing and toy sectors and the arts and culture
sectors.

The theme this year is Thinking Differently and a wide range of sessions are plannned.

Keynote speakers include Lord Puttnam of Queensgate (giving the opening address), Joe Godwin (Director of BBC Children’s) discussing his plans and aspirations post-move-north, Michael Acton Smith (MD Mind Candy) revealing the secrets of Moshi Monsters success and Rory Sutherland
(President of the IPA and Vice Chair of Ogilvy Europe) closing the
conference with a challenge to the industry to think diffently about
commerce, kids and the Big Soiciety.

With five commissioning sessions, five new reasearch projects, and over
twenty policy, strategy, business and creative sessions over the two day
conference – plus four workshops to choose from on the afternoon of
Wednesday 6th, this year’s CMC is bigger than ever, and the
whole event is set up to maximise delegates’ opportunities to network,
exchange ideas and experience, build new partnerships and gain new
perspectives.
