Games industry veteran Team17 have today announced their sponsorship of the 2015 TIGA Awards. Having recently developed their own independent games label, Team17 are pleased to help TIGA reward developer excellence at the prestigious awards evening on 12th November.
TIGA, the network for games developers & digital publishers and the trade association representing the video games industry, is staging its 4th annual awards event to recognise excellence across the industry. This year sees a record number of awards being presented, with categories including Independent Studio, Debut Game and Start-up.
Team17’s Gold Level Sponsorship enables TIGA to reward success across all sectors of the gaming industry and to split certain awards into large and small studio categories.
Team17 is a fully independent video game developer and games label responsible for the famous Worms™ series. Founded in 1990, Team17 developed and published games principally for the Commodore Amiga home computer, including numerous successful games such as Alien Breed (1991), Project-X (1992), Body Blows (1993), Superfrog (1993), and Worms (1995).
