PGI14: Project Games Industry 14 – What do you think needs to change?

By May 14, 2013 No Comments

A documentary that is going to give the gaming community a voice that will be heard.

Einfo Games has decided to launch a kickstarter campaign to help fund a documentary which asks the question: ‘What needs to be changed within the gaming industry?’, this project is called ‘ PGI14’ and is going to involve the entire gaming community.

PGI14 is going to be a documentary which will highlight the problems within the gaming industry that people want to be improved, the problems that will be featured will come directly from the community.

The funding will be going towards the equipment, production costs and to help get us to the various cities where we will film with you. Once we reach our funding goal you can still pledge, anything extra will go towards adding more cities to the dates so more people can be involved, we want to hear from as many people as possible!

After the 30 day funding period has been completed we will start the first stages:

-A survey with open questions will be available on our website for everyone around the world to take part in at einfogames.com. It is extremely important that we get a fair result so the survey will be open for 30 days.

-Once that is completed we will need time to calculate the results which will then be available as a top 10 list. The top 5 will be addressed within the documentary and then we will go to different cities around the world to get your thoughts on these matters in person.

-There is space for an extra 2 topics to be added from the top 10 results which our higher pledgers can vote on. The top 10 list will be mentioned in the film but only 7 will get a full 10 minute time slot each.

This documentary is being made for all of the community and non pledgers can take part and be involved as well by:

·Taking part in the international survey which asks ‘What do you want improved by 2014?’ (every single one will taken into account and can make all the difference, no one will be left out)

·Tweeting to @PGI14 #PGI14 @einfogames the one thing you want to change in the games industry.

(The most re tweeted will be added to the film with your twitter name)

· Making a video Response to our Promo video on Einfo Games Youtube channel.

(The best ones with the most reactions and comments will be added to the film&extras where you will then be credited on the final product, and more videos will be added to the website and face book page.) (You could start the tweets and video responses now, the earlier you do this the higher the chance of them being seen. Make sure you add to your title #PGI14 Response Video.)

The second goal of PGI14 is to give work experience and to help people who want to work in the media industry. Everyone involved in production will be credited on the final product (you will get your name on IMDB), more information on this is shown on our kick starter rewards section for pledgers.

This is our way of saying thank you to you, we want to make sure that everyone is involved and this documentary is made by a large community of passionate gamers and gaming enthusiasts. Everyone will be heard.
