Personality Traits in Game Development Teams – Cutting-edge Scientific Study Needs You

Quality of Life has been a significant issue for games development. Surveys and reports in the media have focused on pay and conditions in the sector so far.

A new scientific study refocuses the issue on personality types – it asks: how do personality types and their diverse combination in games development affect quality of life at work?

No such study has ever been conducted in the games development sector and practically none in software development generally.

By understanding combinations of personality types new insights into team / organisation design will be possible. Not only will this have a significant impact on quality of life per se but have implications for studio productivity too.

The survey is designed and run by games researchers Dr. Patrick Stacey and Miriam Sturdee of Lancaster University Management School.
