DD Mgmt joins TIGA to offer indie game devs free music from indie musicians

By October 2, 2014 Press Releases

TIGA, the network for videogame developers and digital publishers in the UK, has welcomed innovative, independent talent management agency, DD Mgmt, as its latest member.

DD Mgmt is also launching a new service to its fellow TIGA members offering them completely free usage of all its artists’ music, in whatever format they prefer, and to be applied however they see fit, as long as the content is not sold on in any way. This could mean everything from game and app soundtracks to using tracks as player gifts and rewards for achievements.

TIGA members can view and listen to DD Mgmt’s full range of available artists right here. To request usage for any artist, track or other audio content, please email the agency’s co-founder Jhannon Fanus.

DD Mgmt’s goal is to help the UK’s independent game developer community connect with the UK’s world-class pool of independent music artists, ranging from pop, and rock to urban, dance and acoustic.

As indie developers don’t always have a great deal of budget with which to source music content for their games, being able to use indie music artists’ content for free can be of great value. This is especially true given DD Mgmt’s high quality range of unsigned artists who are able to provide professionally mixed audio content directly to developers and studios without compromise.

Game developers get free access to professional audio content, and the artists in turn benefit from the increased reach and exposure that the global digital games and app marketplace can offer.

Jhannon Fanus, DD Mgmt co-founder, comments:

“It is thanks to organisations like TIGA that businesses like ours can grow and flourish. We have received an immense amount of invaluable advice and support from TIGA’s team while simultaneously being presented with multiple opportunities to meet great people from the UK and European videogame industry.

“We truly believe that the UK’s indie music artists and indie game developers have a lot to offer each other, and we want to help explore and fulfil this potential for mutually beneficial collaboration.”

Dr Richard Wilson, CEO, TIGA, added:

“We offer Jhannon and the rest of the DD Mgmt team a warm welcome as our latest members. They are a young, hungry and talented bunch that are keen to make their mark on the music industry and search for new ways to collaborate and support other industries too.

“It is great to see further audio and audio technology suppliers join TIGA. DD Mgmt, as a talent management business, are a welcome and fresh addition to our community.”
