Creative Skillset is seeking more employers to join industry panels to help shape the future of UK Games Industry

By May 20, 2013 TIGA News

Last December, Creative Skillset announced the launch of influential industry panels to help shape the future of the UK Creative Sector. Employers and professionals from the computer games industry joined the panel to take part in the pilot survey in February which revealed that computer games employers identified future trends, training and talent acquisition as priorities. Technology, consumer trends, and future needs of business’ were highlighted as the main areas of concern for the future. The issues that were most prevalent around training were funding, future training needs and return on investment, and the issues most prevalent around talent acquisition were staff retention and recruitment.

Following the success of the pilot, Creative Skillset are calling on more employers to have their say on the future of the industry by registering to be part of the panel by end of May in order to receive the first of three annual surveys in early June. The short online surveys contain no more than ten quick questions and contributors get priority access to the results.

Creative Skillset’s Chief Executive, Dinah Caine, said:

“As an industry-led organisation, the panels will be vital in shaping our future strategies. We urge employers and professionals to register to ensure their opinions and ideas are heard and to support the UK Creative Industries.”

We highly recommend members register for the panel, by taking a few seconds to fill in their details at www.creativeskillset.org/research/panels.
