British Academy of Film and Television Arts BREAKTHROUGH BRITS in partnership with Burberry

By June 27, 2013 TIGA News

BAFTA is searching for talented newcomers in film, TV and games as part of its brand new initiative Breakthrough Brits.

A BAFTA Breakthrough Brit title will honour British talent who have demonstrated exceptional skill and ambition and have captured our imagination as a star in the making. Within games, we’re looking for people who are on the cusp of making a name for themselves as a developer or in a creative discipline.

Up to 20 talented newcomers across film, TV and games will be selected by an industry jury to take part in a year-long mentoring and guidance programme that includes free access to BAFTA events and regular meetings with industry experts who will help them form the industry connections that will shape their future career.

For more information on the entry criteria and how to apply to the scheme, visit the BAFTA website and click on Breakthrough Brits on the homepage: www.bafta.org

The deadline for entries is Monday 8 July at 10am.

If you know someone who you think is going to make it big in the next year and you would like to nominate them, please email the Breakthrough Brits team who will contact them and invite them to apply. The deadline for nominations is Monday 1 July. Further details on how to nominate can be found on the BAFTA website.
