Following from the July 2012 announcement of collaboration between Antix Labs and PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (“Telkom”), the TelkomStore now includes the Antix Game Player (“AGP”) for download and an initial selection of Antix-formatted games available to its Indonesian mobile consumers through Telkomsel (GSM) and Flexi (CDMA). Integration and deployment work continues to expand these services to Telkom's Speedy (ADSL), USeeTV (OTT TV), IPTV, and Telin (mobile, international) consumers.
While consumers can still opt for the traditional download-from-the-store model, AGP enables consumers to share conveniently and freely Antix-formatted games off-network directly between dissimilar devices. While game files themselves can be socially discovered and shared between friends using Wi-Fi Direct to Bluetooth, payments remain separately and securely processed through the consumer's mobile SIM account. Social distribution of games in this way is the natural and logical extension of the way photos, music, and videos are shared through social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
Francis Charig of Antix said,
“Consumers want to play truly socially, in other words with their friends and family whether or not they're connected to a network. This capability is now live to consumers in Indonesia with a rollout to an ever expanding range of devices”.
Achmad Sugiarto, Executive General Manager of Telkom's Multimedia Division, said
“With this exciting support for Antix now underway, Telkom plans to expand the new game service by incrementally adding in-demand game titles, support for more device models, and new social, multi-device gaming features that consumers can only get through the Telkom Group”.
Together, Telkom and Antix Labs continue to push the boundaries for consumers who increasingly want faster and more convenient access to content, even during busy network times and when outside of network coverage areas.

About Antix Labs, Ltd.
(Antix):Antix has developed the Antix Game Player incorporating a consumer-focused distribution file format and service that makes games even more viral than music and video whilst still protecting the rights and the revenues of the developers. It enables consumers to copy, share, challenge and play with others not only via a service provider’s network but also off-network by means of wireless technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct. Antix connects consumers across feature phones and smartphones, tablets, TVs, set top boxes, PCs and other devices even when a provider’s network is inaccessible, intermittent, slow or full as is the reality in home and on mobile across most of the world. The company offers the Game Player, corresponding tools, certification mechanism, optional white-label store and an optional game warehouse necessary to deploy a complete service offering. The Antix Game Service is being used as a core gaming component by major operators, broadcasters, device manufacturers and retailers across the globe. Headquartered in the Reading Enterprise Centre in Reading, England and with offices in America and Asia, Antix was founded by Francis Charig, a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer.
