Salary circa £16,000 per annum pro rata

Aardman’s Digital Department is responsible for creating engaging interactive experiences to the same high quality as the animations we are renowned for. These include online and mobile games, websites online marketing and social media campaigns both for our own characters and external clients such as the BBC, Tate, Pan Macmillan, and Cartoon Network.

This is an exciting opportunity to get a foot in the door in the games and digital industry within an award-winning creative company. You will be working alongside experienced Flash, Unity and HTML5 developers, supporting in the production of online and mobile games, websites, social media campaigns and other interactive entertainment content.

We’re looking for candidates who have completed a minimum 2 years of degree (or similar) in coding based subject having learnt and explored different programming languages in a creative context. Experience in developing games and level design is required, however this can be personal projects, we are not necessarily expecting commercial experience. An understanding and experience of developing in a minimum of one of the following: Unity3D; HTML5, CSS and JS; Adobe AIR and Flash. C++ would also be useful. Strong pride in the quality of coding and producing work of a consistently high standard is required with a reasonable knowledge of working with Adobe Photoshop. An ambition to work in the digital industry, particularly in gaming is a must.
