The Scottish Digital Economy Minister, Kate Forbes MSP, has opened the second phase of the Digital Development Loan. Businesses can now apply for interest-free loans of between £5,000 to £100,000 to help invest in digital technologies and skills.
The Digital Development Loan was created by the Scottish Government to provide loans to companies who wish to improve their digital capabilities and processes in areas such as cyber security, data analytics and software engineering. The loan also covers staff digital skills development as part of the Scottish Government’s drive to improve economic productivity.
The key features of the Digital Development Loan scheme are:
- Borrow between £5k – £100k
- Interest free
- Up to 5 years repayment terms
- No early repayment fees
- ScotGov funded
