VR: The Next Frontier

Goldsmiths are delighted to announce an exciting event: VR The Next Frontier: An exhibition, masterclass and drinks reception with key note speaker Dave Ranyard. This will be the second event of this kind held at Goldsmiths. We will be host to some of the most creative minds in VR talking about and demonstrating many of the cutting-edge technology, immersive computer games and the social challenges of virtual reality.
In addition to Dave Ranyard’s the key note speech about the latest developments in the industry we will hear from Avril Furness, Clemens Wangerin, Kim-Leigh Pontin, Oliver Kibblewhite, Sylvia Xueni Pan and Shafi Ahmed speaking about their work and latest developments. There will also be an exhibition where you can experience and test out some of the latest developments in VR including: vTime, The Last Moments, Human Imagination Task Force, Strata, Redbull Race Track – Hololens, Medical Realities, Ctrl, VR Women, VirtualiTee, HoloPortal, BioBlox, Mutator VR, Danger Ball, Samsung Gear 360, Home. You will be able to meet the developers, try out kit and talk about their ideas for future developments whilst enjoying a drinks reception.
