More than 100 games educators and developers converged on Birmingham on July 3rd at the TIGA Games Education Conference 2025, sponsored by Rebellion and Lockwood Publishing, to help shape the next generation of talent entering the industry.

The completely SOLD OUT event, hosted by Birmingham City University, saw over 30 speakers from leading games educators and games studios across the UK deliver insights, foster collaboration, and strengthen the future of the UK games sector through education.

TIGA CEO Dr Richard Wilson OBE said: “The TIGA Games Education Conference 2025 was a resounding success. It was inspiring to see educators and developers come together with a shared purpose: to strengthen the connection between academia and industry, and to ensure students are equipped with the skills they need to thrive in a fast-evolving sector. With thanks to our excellent speakers, sponsors Rebellion and Lockwood Publishing, and our outstanding hosts at Birmingham City University, this sold-out event demonstrated the power of collaboration to shape the future of the UK games industry. TIGA will continue to champion initiatives – including our accreditation programme, our awards and our annual games education conference – that bring education and industry closer together, building a stronger talent pipeline for the years ahead.”
