TIGA is a campaigning organisation that continually battles to advance the best interests of games developers. TIGA’s campaign to drive the video games industry forward involves TIGA meeting with politicians from key political parties, policy makers and civil servants, engaging with the media and publishing reports which set the agenda for the industry.

TIGA also engages closely with Chris White MP, Chair of the All Party Computer and Video Games Industry Group, as part of its ongoing operations.
We have an unrivalled track record of influencing Government policy in order to strengthen the video games sector. TIGA has successfully campaigned for:
  • improvements to the R&D Tax Credits in 2011 (with other organisations);
  • improvements to the Shortage Occupation List 2013;
  • the introduction of Video Games Tax Relief (2008 – 2014), a measure that effectively reduces the cost of games development;
  • the maintenance of the Skills Investment Fund (2015).
  • the establishment of a £4 million Prototype Fund to help start-up studios (2015);
